Concept: If you are a basketball fan, you know the only real A.I. is Allen Iverson. Our goal was to create a spot in which Allen Iverson crosses up a robot with his famous crossover with a big world feel to it. Bonus: to use Ai in the spot to push the storytelling.

Challenge: We didn’t have access to Allen Iverson and the spot was full CGI. We wanted to use Ai to cross the uncanny valley.

Solution: We began by creating a Metahuman (a realistic CGI character) of Allen Iverson which we animated using Ai animation of his famous crossover. While the body and clothing looked good, we realized the majority of the uncanniness was coming from his face. To cross the  uncanny valley, we use an Ai Deepfake. To do this we trained a model on 100 photos of his face and deepfaked a more realistic version of his face onto the CG character.
